The service here was excellent. Our waiter kept returning to our table with perfect timing. The wings were also really good. If you are a wing lover like me this is definitely a good place to try them. Overall I was also very surprised at how inexpensive it was. Definitely a great spot if you are in the area.

I used to come here when I came home weekends from college, and I graduated in 1980. It hasn't changed a bit. Good food, good atmosphere, good music on weekends, but they don't have $2.00 pitchers anymore! 🙂

Came in on wing night. Place was packed full of what seemed like mostly locals. Food was good, service was as well. Would certainly recommend for a decent meal.

Great atmosphere and laid back. This firefighter themed bar is a great getaway while at the National Fire Academy. The place is clean and staff is great. I went on discounted wing night and was very happy with the wing quality and flavors.

Fun atmosphere in an old Brock building. Shrimp salad was very good.

The place to hang out in town when attending NETC/NFA. The wings are good. It's fun to see the fire department patches from all over the world displayed on every inch of wall space.

Great place that caters to the fire academy! Beer was cold and the mustard wings were amazing.

The owner is perfect for running this bar/restaurant. He is always ready with great conversation and amazingly remembers everyone by name. His staff is friendly and attentive... The food is delicious and the drinks are cold... What more could a patron ask for!?! I have loved this place since the 70's and it just gets better and better!

I have been stopping at the Ott House for a good 35 yrs. They have been open for 50yrs. Good food always and great service. Family owned and it shows.

If your a fire fighter you should definitely check this place out. Wall to wall fire patches and laid in the bar top with clear coat over then . awesome place and food.

Great pub food. Wonderful staff. Highly recommend. The wings are nice and crispy. The Ott mild sauce is good, but a little sweet/sticky. Not typical mild buffalo wing sauce.

Try the Emitsburger, absolutely delicious! The staff is friendly and quick with refills and food orders. The atmosphere is relaxed. Lots of cool patches on the walls/bar, they may have all the patches. Would definitely recommend and will be back again!

This review is for the restaurant. Meh. The service was good. Our waitress was good. The food was typical pre frozen food. Burgers are made from frozen patties and served with cheap bagged chips. The frozen fries have no seasoning and ours were a little undercooked. The food was bland. Other types of food on the menu are items like pizza, patty melts, tuna salad, and fried foods.

It's a resounding meh. The service is ok. The food is not great. I suppose the drinks are cold. There are not many places in Emmitsburg. I suppose you take what you can get. It's my third choice in this town.

I love this restaurant very much. there is a very special air. The kitcen is marvelous. the service is powerful and the personel is friendly. The price is honest. I highly recommend.

Best food around, they have better crab dip and crab soup than most seafood places, and better wings than wings places.wide menu selections, from seafood to burgers, and pizza. Can't go wrong here.

Wings are unbeatable!! Drenched in sugary sauce. 2 orders trashed. Then asked for a French Onion Soup. Whitest soup.. no color, no toasted cheese.. worst soup ever. We used to come here a couple times a year. We will be thinking twice next time. Food quality has gone down.. way down!!! Hope Management sees this post and does something about it.. something.. anything..

The Ott House is a great local pub restaurant that has a fire department theme and not only caters to the local folks but many of the visitors and students of the near by National Fire Academy. As a firefighter, i can say that Bobby and his crew at the Ott House go above and beyond to provide a great pub experience from food and drink to entertainment with many live bands coming in and other activities. The shuttle to and from the Fire Academy is awesome. Can't say enough good about the people and the place.

Went after my EMI graduation!!! Service was well...I love the atmosphere and my crab cake sandwich was delish! The waffle fries was on par and my classmates buffalo wings(not pictured) were on point..Sauce was really good. Will definitely return!!

Service was excellent, I definitely would like to try something other than what I had but was impressed with the quality and speed in which our food was served. Thanks to all the folks at Ott House for your hard work

Great crabcake sub...food was awesome...waffle fries with cheese fried mushrooms...cant wait to go back....totally stuffed.

As reasonable in price and welcoming as it was 40 years ago . Areal treat to re-visit.

Great food, drink, atmosphere, wait staff, spacious and they have billards/pool!! Lovely combo!! Our bar waitress was on point and quite the conversationist!! A very enjoyable meal. I highly recommend the broiled crab cakes 😋. See ya again real soon Ott House.

Inside dining, excellent service and food.

The atmosphere is pretty good. The food was good but had to wait an hour for an order of wings.

The crab dip was excellent. Took the recommendation of the owner that day, who said the bread was better; it didn't disappoint. Bought a shirt after getting caught in an expected thunderstorm. Lots of sizes and colors to choose from.

Our party showed up on a Saturday night around 8pm and the building was near capacity. A live band was rocking out on the stage, and a bunch of people got up and danced. I'm a fan of tropical IPAs, and their Island IPA on tap was spectacular. To make it even better, all of their beers and food were very decently priced.We also ate the pickle and bacon pizza because we wanted to try something new, and we were all surprised at how good it actually was. Overall, our whole party had a great night.

The Ott House is the #1 firefighter bar in the world. Every firefighter sgould make a pilgramage.
